Less gas, more peace of mind: switching to biomass

Gas heating was unquestionable in industry for decades: it was cheap, convenient and always available. However, after the price explosions and supply uncertainties of recent years, more and more company managers believe that complete gas exposure is a business risk in itself.

The transition does not have to happen overnight on an all-or-nothing basis. Most of our customers take gradual steps: the gas boiler remains as a backup or for peak assistance, while the base load is taken over by a biomass boiler. In this way, gas consumption can be reduced by up to seventy to eighty percent while the safety net remains.

Where will the savings come from?

The base load boiler runs for many thousands of operating hours per year, which is why the price of fuel really matters here. Calculating with wood chips or pellets, the cost per kilowatt-hour typically remains well below that of gas, and its price can be fixed in a local contract in Forints.

Another important aspect is that the biomass boiler can be integrated into the existing heating system: the radiators, the air blowers, and the buffer tank can remain. The mechanical work is limited to the conversion of the boiler room and the fuel storage.

Faster payback with a used machine

The economics of the transition stand or fall on the investment cost. A refurbished, tested Western European boiler, such as a Guntamatic, Herz or Fröling, offers the same knowledge for a fraction of the price of a new machine, thus shortening the payback period to as much as a half or a third.
