Important design features from the factory S3 documentation

• Wood gasification combustion: The wood gases released from the loaded firewood are utilized in a separate combustion zone; the boiler transfers the energy content of the cordwood to the central heating system.
• Logs up to 55 cm long: The spacious loading chamber can accommodate half-meter firewood, reducing the need for cutting.
• Separate loading, ignition, and combustion chamber doors: Wood loading, ignition, and access to the combustion chamber take place through separate openings, providing more transparent daily operation.
• Flue gas exhaust fan: The exhaust fan supports the air flowing through the boiler and the conveyance of flue gas into the chimney.
• Separate primary and secondary air adjustment: Primary air aids the gasification of the wood, while secondary air assists in the combustion of the resulting wood gases.
• S-Tronic boiler control: The operating unit displays the boiler and flue gas temperatures, as well as operational and error signals.
• Accessible heat exchanger: The heat transfer passages can be cleaned through the upper and side maintenance openings to prevent deposits from impairing heat utilization.
• Designed for dry firewood: The factory fuel specification is cordwood with a moisture content of 15–25%; uniform size and moisture promote more stable combustion.
• Safety temperature limiter: The boiler's own temperature monitoring is part of the overheat protection.
