HPKI-K 300 – 300 kW wood chip heat supply

Automatic operation and main technical advantages
- Automatic fuel feeding: The pusher and feeding auger deliver fuel to the combustion chamber adjusted to the heat demand.
- Cell feeder and backburning protection: The metal cellular wheel separates the fuel storage side from the boiler and passes the material forward in metered quantities.
- Automatic ignition: The ignition unit ignites the fuel as part of the control startup process, with less manual intervention.
- Bottom-feed, retort combustion: The fuel enters the combustion zone made of heat-resistant steel and cast elements from below.
- Ceramic-lined combustion chamber: The heat-resistant lining maintains a high combustion temperature, and the longer gas path supports the burnout of wood gases.
- Lambda control: Combustion controlled based on the lambda probe, flue gas, combustion chamber, and boiler temperature adapts to the operating load.
- Separate primary and secondary air: The fan and air dampers separately control the combustion of the fuel bed and the post-combustion of the released gases.
- Automatic pneumatic heat exchanger cleaning: Short, intensive compressed air pulses remove ash deposits from the walls of the heat exchanger tubes. The cleaning interval is adjustable on the controller.
- Automatic firebox ash removal: The ash conveyance system mechanically routes the residues from the firebox into the ash collector.
- Separate ash removal for the heat exchanger: The removal of ash precipitating in the heat exchanger is also automatic, so the management of residues accumulated during tube cleaning is also mechanized.
- Multicyclone particulate separator: Cyclone elements connected to the boiler separate solid particles traveling with the flue gas and direct them to a segregated ash collection.
- Controlled flue gas extractor: The fan serves to create and maintain the necessary draft in the boiler.
- 300 kW nominal output, partial load operation: The boiler control adjusts heat production to the heat demand; it can be sized for the central heat supply of a larger building or site.
- High efficiency: The nominal efficiency specified for the model is 91.7%; a clean heat exchanger and well-adjusted combustion help utilize the heat of the fuel.
- Wood chips and quality wood pellets: The HPKI-K family is designed for wood chips and wood pellets; factory fuel quality must be selected in conjunction with the feeding system.
- Buffer operation and external authorization: The control can coordinate boiler operation with the state of the heat accumulator and external heat demand.
- 1,100-liter boiler water volume and DN 80 connections: A design adaptable to larger water-side networks, with specified operating limits of 5 bar and 95 °C.
- Industrial dimensions and cleaning access: Factory dimensions are 3,450 × 1,250 × 2,250 mm, weight is 4 tons, flue gas connection is 200 mm. The front door also provides access to the boiler passes.
