FU 220 RIA boiler with silo – 220 kW, 2003.Wood chip heat supply for larger buildings and plants, with a system designed for mechanized fuel supply.

• Dual grate, with separate primary air supply:The air supply of the two combustion zones is routed separately, allowing the system to adapt to wood materials of varying composition.
• Underfeed combustion:The fuel enters the fireclay-lined combustion chamber from below via the feed screw.
• Wood chips, wood shavings, and sawdust:The FU RIA system is also designed for the energetic utilization of wood-based by-products from the woodworking and sawmill industries.
• Wood material with 10–50% moisture content:The factory fuel range covers both dry and wetter wood materials.
• Flame temperature and oxygen control:The control system monitors the combustion temperature and the oxygen content of the flue gas together and adjusts combustion accordingly.
• Three-pass firetube heat exchanger:The flue gas transfers its heat to the boiler water through multiple passes.
• Part-load operation:The factory system can be modulated between 25–100% of its rated output; the factory range for the FU 220 RIA is 55–220 kW.
• Insulated combustion chamber and boiler body:The heat-resistant inner lining and the insulation of the entire boiler reduce heat loss to the environment.
• Safety cooling heat exchanger:The built-in safety heat exchanger serves to connect overheating protection.

For new equipment of identical design, a custom manufacturer or dealer quote is required. The comparison must also take into account the capacity, equipment, and accessories; shipping and installation may be separate costs.

Fuel and application:system also dimensioned for heating horticultural facilities, workshops, and agricultural buildings. In the case of sawdust, wood shavings, untreated carpentry waste, or cherry pits, please consult us regarding the specific boiler, the feeder, and factory fuel specifications; their usability must be checked on a model-by-model basis.
